The Role

We are looking for a Frontend Software Engineer to join our engineering team. In this role, you’ll play a key part in shaping the user experience and frontend architecture of our platform. You’ll collaborate closely with engineers and product managers to build intuitive, high-performance interfaces that empower political campaigns to make data-driven decisions with confidence.

What You’ll Do

• Develop frontend features using modern technologies (React, TypeScript, etc.).

• Own the User Experience, ensuring our platform is visually compelling, accessible, and user-friendly.

• Collaborate with product teams to turn complex data insights into intuitive workflows.

• Optimize performance and maintainability of frontend codebases.

• Drive best practices in frontend architecture, accessibility, and component design.

• Contribute to the design system to ensure consistency across the platform.

What We’re Looking For

• 1+ years of frontend development experience, with deep expertise in React, TypeScript, and modern UI frameworks.

• Strong eye for design and UI/UX principles, with experience collaborating closely with designers.

• Experience with data visualization and frontend performance optimization.

• Proficiency in CSS-in-JS, styled-components, Tailwind, or similar styling approaches.

• Familiarity with design tools like Figma and a keen ability to translate designs into polished, responsive interfaces.

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Significant experience with software engineering and frontend development
• Relevant coursework or certifications in web development, UI/UX design, data visualization, or human-centered design

Bonus Points

• You have held frontend engineering roles with design focus and/or maintaining a component library
• You have experience building AI-driven applications, political technology, or analytics platforms
• You can relocate to our HQ in Washington, D.C.
