Every state’s political party faces unique challenges. For the Vermont GOP, these included the absence of party registration for voters and using paper lists to manage GOTV efforts. This resulted in missed critical data points and it was challenging to identify party affiliations, especially during primaries. Candidates representing rural districts also faced a gap in connecting with voters in suburban and urban areas. Lastly, budget constraints prohibited expensive outside polls to gather data they needed.
Numinar solved these problems, allowing VTGOP could track their voter contact and gain better knowledge of the voters' political leanings from the field with Numinar’s mobile app, which even provided offline canvassing for their rural areas. And instead of hiring a third-party vendor, Numinar’s texting enabled real-time data that was seamlessly integrated into the existing data collected and voter lists were dynamically updated.
One vital benefit was the cost savings. Two simultaneous polls during the cycle, one built using Numinar and one through a traditional polling firm, had nearly identical results are a testament to the accuracy of Numinar’s survey and modeling capabilities. Numinar “saved the state party thousands of dollars on the polling, [had an] incredibly high adoption rate, and was quick and responsive... It encouraged others to work as well. Numinar really helped us create a better team environment than in the past.”
Paul Dame, VTGOP Chairman
